2003 G35 Sedan: Painting OEM sideskirts and rearskirt

Hi,
I'm interested in painting my sideskirts, rear skirt, and bottom of the front bumper. On the 05/06 sedans, these were painted in body color, and in the 03/04 they were in a Rubbermaid finish (unpainted). A few bodyshops have told me that it is not possible to have these painted because of the smooth surface. One shop said that they could scuff it with something like sandpaper and then prime it, and paint it. They are not guaranteeing that the paint will stick however.

Has anybody done this on a 03/04? How was it done, and how good did the paint stick? Thanks...

Wikkid....thanks for the quick response guys. I can't wait to have these painted as I hate the Rubbermaid look.

HaTa, I'm looking forward to your status report.

i actually had the whole entire car repainted .
the mirror bases/bottom front/sides/rear were all painted..
and the side door moldings were taken off and the holes filled in (properly).

not sure what the cost of just the bottoms painted ..
but i would assume around 300-500 depending on who you take it to
and how they do the work ..

i dont see anything under 200 being done right . but thats just my opinion ..

oh and mud guards are oem .
bottom half of the mudguards that was black was also painted to match ..
riverside infiniti should have them ..
