Volk GTS/Challenge offset/lipsize comparison

Here's the chart for the GTS

Here's the chart for the SF-Challenge

Which lips would be bigger... when comparing the volk gts in a 19x9.5 +17 / 19x10.5 +28 (Yes I mean +28 and not +18) to the volk sf-challenge at 19x9.5 +28 / 19x10.5 +23?

If I am not mistaken by reading those 2 charts, it looks like the rear lip on the challenges is the same size as the front lip on the gts. Which is 94mm (3.7inches)

thanks redlude... do you know if the 19x10.5 +28 volk gts will flush with my rear fenders? nobody has this setup as far as i know and i am dying to see pictures to see how far or how inward the wheels+tires would sit before making a purchase.

+28 on a 10.5 will not be close to flush. Trust me, I have +18 on a 10.5 and I can barely consider it flush (its not too aggressive either).

well from looking at that picture that kilo posted, it doesn't look so bad? but then again its not dropped... however i want to see it from different angles so i can make a better judgement.

do you guys think its that bad from that picture?

what if i add a 10mm spacer, then will it be the same flushness as if i were to have gotten the +18 offset instead? i know the lip will be slightly smaller, but as far as flushness it should be the same?

i guess it's a matter of preference... ive seen a lot of setups on here with the tucked look as well...

If you have any plans on doing 10mm spacer on the +28, why not just go with the +18 offsets? And you'll get the nicer lip.

Is there a reason why you are avoiding the +18 rear offsets?

If you insist on the +28's, I would do a 15mm spacer for the rears.

i guess it's because i don't want anything too aggresive looking? I don't really like the look of the tire+rim sticking out of the fender. I either like it flushed or sit a little bit in from the fender. I'm not going for the crazy extreme aggressive look i don't think. I am still in the process of deciding.

Will you be able to fit a BBK on the rears with a +28 offset?

The +18 is FAR from aggressive, even with a 285 tire, especially on the drop you have. The +28 would be grossly tucked.

Given same specs, the GT-S will always have a bigger lip. Hopefully your decision is based on more than just lip size, though. Having owned several sets of both wheels, I love them both in different ways.

If you're buying the GTS, go with +17/+18 (unless you're custom ordering, then go more aggressive). If buying the SF-Challenge, go with +21/+23 (again, unless custom ordering).

triplesol, if you were to go aggressive with the gts and challenges and get them custom ordered, what offset would you go with your g35 coupe?

i like aggressive too, its growing on me the more i look at it, but am too afraid of getting offsets that most people on here aren't using. i just want to be on the safe side by sticking to the most common offsets that everyone's using.
